Dead Weight Tester
A Dead Weight Tester (DWT) is a primary pressure standard instrument used to calibrate other pressure-measuring devices. It works on the principle of a pressure balance, where a known weight placed on a piston creates a precise pressure that can be calculated based on the weight, piston area, and gravitational constant. This pressure is then applied to the device under test (DUT) for comparison and calibration.
