Piezoresistive Strain Gauges

Piezoresistive strain gauges are transducers that convert mechanical strain into an electrical resistance change. When subjected to stress, the gauge’s resistive element undergoes a change in resistance proportional to the applied strain. This change in resistance can be measured and converted into a corresponding pressure value.
