Linear Variable Differential Transformer-LVDT

An LVDT is an electromechanical transducer that converts linear displacement into a proportional electrical output signal. It consists of a primary coil and two secondary coils wound on a cylindrical former. A movable magnetic core within the coil assembly alters the magnetic coupling between the coils, resulting in a change in output voltage that corresponds to the core’s position.
