Bourdon Tube
A Bourdon tube is a mechanical device used for measuring and indicating pressure in various systems. It consists of a curved, hollow, and flexible tube, typically made from metals such as brass, bronze, or stainless steel. When subjected to internal pressure, the tube deforms—attempting to straighten—translating this deformation into a mechanical displacement. This movement drives a pointer on a dial, providing a visual pressure reading. Bourdon tubes are known for their accuracy, durability, and ability to measure a wide range of pressures.
