g Effect (Gravity Effect)
The g effect is an error introduced in pressure measurements due to the change in orientation of a pressure transducer. Pressure transducers typically utilize a thin diaphragm that deflects in response to applied pressure. When the diaphragm is positioned horizontally, gravity also exerts a force on it, causing a slight deflection and a corresponding inaccurate pressure reading. This effect can be positive or negative depending on the diaphragm orientation.
