Hydrostatic Pressure
Hydrostatic pressure acts in all directions perpendicular to the container walls and applies a uniform force over a submerged area. It arises from the weight of the fluid pressing down on the bottom and the subsequent transfer of pressure throughout the fluid. Unlike other pressure types that factors like fluid motion can influence, hydrostatic pressure depends only on the depth of the fluid and the gravitational acceleration.
