Highway Addressable Remote Transducer (HART®)

Highway Addressable Remote Transducer (HART®) is a registered trademark communication protocol that allows for digital two-way communication between smart field devices, like pressure transmitters, and a host system (usually a control panel or computer). HART® operates on top of the existing 4-20mA analog signal used for traditional pressure measurement, enabling the transmission of additional digital data without affecting the analog signal.
